    #CosmoMoveIt 2016

    My friends and I were able to attend the second and final part of the #CosmoMoveIt by Cosmopolitan Philippines that was held on April 21, 2016 at the BGC Amphitheater.


    Cosmo shirt that you can style any way that you want, Fruit Magic’s Pure Nectar, Jergens and Belo products were given away on that day! FREEbies! All the booths were very engaging as well! 🙂

    Our group along with the other bellas were also selected to participate in the Jergens’ game before the Body Jam and Hip-Hop dance workout sessions. Joanne and Pao were able to bagged the first place! 🙂


    We have totally enjoyed the whole event! Thank you Cosmopolitan Philippines for hosting such a fun and fit event. 🙂

    Why you should start a healthy lifestyle now, not later

    We’ve been hearing the quote “Health is wealth” since our childhood. Do we really know the real meaning of it?

    Correct me if I’m wrong, in my opinion, health is everything and its importance is more than the wealth. A healthy person will not just have a healthy body but will also have a healthy mindset; healthy mindset can lead him/her into a healthy lifestyle. Having a healthy lifestyle might help him/her to become a successful person. Domino effect. 🙂

    Good health keeps us always happy and gives us feeling of complete physical, mental, social and intellectual well-being. Sounds nice and easy, right? But it’s easy not to do as well.

    Let me share to you my experience that triggered me to start a healthy lifestyle. February 11, 2015 – I was confined for 2 days. Before it happened, I was experiencing a mild headache for a week but I chose to ignore it because I thought it was only due to lack of sleep and will be gone soon. But after a week, it became too painful to the point that I cannot concentrate with my work, my hands were shaking and pale; so I decided to have a half-day at work and go to hospital.

    I went straight to ER, had a blood test and after an hour, they found out that I have Anemia. My hematocrit count is too low so I will need a blood transfusion. I got confined on that day but one blood bag wasn’t enough so I had to stay another day. Two days of pain! Yes, blood transfusion is painful. 🙁 The main cause of it is my heavy menstrual flow.


    During those days, I realized how unhealthy my body, my lifestyle, the foods that I eat and etc. For me, it’s sign that if I continue to become unhealthy, I might experience more health problems or other difficulties in the future which I do not want to happen. Of course, no one wishes to be unhealthy.

    Loss of good health causes unhappiness and is very expensive too! Thankfully, I already have an HMO card from the company that I am working for that covered all my hospital bills. Imagine if I do not have health card yet during that time, I might have paid Php XX,XXX for my two days confinement. 🙁 Expensive, right? What if I do not also have that amount of money? How will I pay for it?

    Bottom-line, if you do not start a healthy lifestyle now, then when? Once it’s already too late for you to bring back your health? Do you know that being unhealthy affects your whole being and will also cost you a lot of money? Reflect and think about it.

    Since I do not want to be hospitalize again, I started appreciating vegetables, fruits, tons of water, drinking vitamins and regular exercise! 🙂

    Fitness Goal: To Be Toned

    No throwback Thursday post today but rather, a #TBT (To Be Toned) post! Hahaha. Corny, I know, but whatever. 😛

    So after work, I had a gym session with my chinky friend, Kathleen. Without her, I don’t know what else to do aside from using the treadmill and the bicycle. Lol.
    This is just some of the exercises we did a while ago (not in order):

    Arnold (shoulders) 3 sets: 10 for 1st set, 8 for 2nd set and 6 for 3rd set

    Shoulders from lower side 10 reps 3 sets

    Front 1 hand 12 reps 3 sets (per side)

    Side 1 hand swing 12 reps x 3 sets (per side)

    Side curl (straight) 30 reps x 3 sets (per side)

    Side hammer 10 reps x 3 sets (per side)

    Squats 10 x 3

    Dumbell squats 10 x 3

    Cool down (side arm)

    Barbell lunge

    Barbell rows

    Barbell curl


    Romanian deadlift

    Will definitely expect a body pain tomorrow! No pain, no gain, right? 🙂
    And oh, I was able to convince myself to cook tonight so I came up with this easy to cook…  

    Tadaaa! Egg Tuna Omelette!

    My first time to cook egg tuna omelette; I’m so proud to myself that I had to share it. Haha!
